Step 1
Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until onion has softened. Add zucchini. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 3 minutes or until just tender. Add capsicum. Cook for 2 minutes or until just tender. Add tomato and sugar. Reduce heat to medium. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes or until tomato has collapsed.
Step 2
Meanwhile, cook pasta in a saucepan of boiling salted water, following packet directions, until tender. Drain. Return to pan.
Step 3
Add tomato mixture and basil to pasta. Season with salt and pepper. Toss to combine. Spoon into bowls. Serve.
